Heroscape Comics and Cartoons
« on: January 02, 2007, 01:11:20 PM »
Hasbro is going all out, they are making mini Heroscape cartoons and posting them on their site http://www.hasbro.com/heroscape/default.cfm?page=movies, they are even posting comics done up by DC http://www.hasbro.com/heroscape/default.cfm?page=comics.

Not a bad read, they are starting to fill in on some of the back story. It mostly focuses on Master set characters, like Sgt. Drake is a primary character and Realin plays a key roll. The latest comic includes a character from wave 6. Sounds like the Kyrie units are native to the world and leaders of the factions, they are fighting over some magic water springs; gives power somehow, source of some of the special abilities like Realin's defense aura or the healing chicks power.

All the "drafted" units from other worlds and time seem to have been *saved* from death as they were teleported, kind of a second chance. Like Sgt. Drake was pulled into the world as a grenade fell into his fox hole, this seems to be the story for the good side Jandar (the Blue) anyways. The bad side is Red of course, and purple and gray is allied with the bad side, where green is allied with the good. However those factions are practically neutral and can jump ship at anytime, or become an independent force.
I only drink the blood of my enemies, and on occasion a strawberry smoothie.

I've been seeing a lot of commercials too, I think HeroScape has turned into a real profitable venture for them (which is great news).
