Modded Xbox Wireless?
« on: January 15, 2007, 09:14:55 AM »
Is anyone out there running  a modded original Xbox on a wireless network adapter?  I encouraged my brother to get a wireless adapter for his Xbox, so he could watch AVIs on it across the network from his laptop.  He said in his research he read that the Microsoft adapter will reset the softmod back to the original dashboard, and that the Linksys adapter is hard to set up.  Do you guys know if either is true?  An experiences you have would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Not that this is an answer directly to your question, but he could just buy a Wireless bridge unit instead, and hard wire his xbox to it.  Easy enough to set one of them up, and he would get an option for more than one device at his TV to be networked.

I'll look into that, thanks.
