I've starting bringing the Edmonton Disc Golf Association web page back to life, take a look and tell me what you think!

mad props.

Can you be more specific? Is there anything that stood out to you that sucked? Was there anything you really liked? How do you find the layout?

Thanks.

At first glance, I really liked the layout, the boxes around sections made it easy to skim-read. Not too many links or info thrown at me so less intimidating than, say, most mega-corp websites :)

Excellent choice of font family and size/style, I can imagine it's done in a nice modular way.

But the serious *mad* props goes out to you for using <div id="sidebar"> and CSS instead of tables ;D

Thanks! I ran it thru the W3C validation tool and all I have to change is I should be creating unique ids for each article and I should change the CSS stuff to classes if they are repeating elements :)

Very clean and easy to read, thus far.  I'd have to see it with more articles, but I think it would remain clean and readable.

Had a look at the page source - how come you're using a frameset?  And how come there are IP addresses instead of server names - is the IP address static and unchanging?

I presume he's just doing a redirect type of thing temporarily while he monkeys with the design... Or else this is the easier way for hosting the content (perhaps issues with the domain name ownership and/or permissions for the lowly web dev?)

Sadly the current host we use forces us in a frame. I'm trying to change this but it will take some time.

Thanks for the input!

I have a payed hosting plan I wouldn't mind offering up (to share, I barely use it as is). Domains, email, mailing lists, all that. For free or a small fee :) whichever you're more comfortable with.

Now, the Red around black bit at the top is awful. sorry to say. If you want to keep that look, the thick red line should go :o
