The Onion -- still capable of top-notch satire

(1:40 is the funniest -- the Nicole Ritchie-esque "2010 projection")

also ROFL: "Hollywood ruins everything!", and "Nice One, Einstein"

The Onion isn't funny anymore...

Treasury Department Issues Emergency Recall Of All US Dollars
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JBsGn6XtaM

...cuz I can actually see this happening. Satire that works best is closest to what's really going on...

I mean, really, does a US government official need a logical, sane reason to get the people to do what he wants them to do?

it's been like 11 months since the typical 100% Awesome video clips have been posted on YT for the TheOnion channel.

http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOnion

The "style" of their comedy has changed.

sadly.

No more 3 minute funnay within the fake-shows like "In The Know" or "Today Now!"

but I guess now, after all these years of free awesome, they're going for a more syndicate-able format, they are now on IFC as a 22 minute program. example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeSzlJEOzZY

one of the best "Today Now!" episodes ever imo

also, new: Shelby Cross; imagine Nancy Grace*, with the volume only slightly turned down, and the emotionalism/insanity... left at pretty much the same high degree.
