Red Ring of Death Strikes again
« on: January 17, 2009, 12:35:01 PM »
So I waited and I waited.

I waited for HDMI support, and I waited for the Elite Revision with the quieter DVD drive, and guess what; I STILL GOT A RED RING OF DEATH!

Well it is under warranty so I am just waiting for my shipping label to be emailed to me..

Means no 360 for about 3 weeks, witch is a PITA since I primarily use it to watch downloaded content. :(

On the plus side I hacked my Wii and loaded the Homebrew channel. Trying to get Streaming Video and DVD support.

That sucks...

Hows the wii hacking going? Is it working well enough? I haven't found it worth it to buy a game I'm never (or rarely ever) going to play just to install some homebrew stuff I'm rarely going to use ;D

Mplayer still can't browse network folders so loading videos on sd card is still best.
Didn't try a DVD, mostly dissapointed so far.

Dropped my 360 off at ups, hope I don't have to wait too many weeks.

I'm shocked I'm the first to link to one of the many "Hitler angry about _____" video remixes...

Seriously Lazy, my heart goes out to you -- I'd hate to imagine my weekends without the Wii (especially now that me and the kids are hooked on Wii Fit ;D )

I am out of practice as well. Will have to decide if we are going to grab the new DLC as well.
