Remember when Power 92 was the _new_ station?  Now Sonic 102.9 is even getting old...

If you travel between Cities and provinces you soon realize that radio stations now pop out of a station random generator.

Name (semi unique if established and popular locally)
Genera
Logo
Contests
Shows/gimmicks

Surfing through radio here:
Sonic (brand new station, but plays top ten similar to power in Edmonton, same logo as sonic Edmonton)
Fox (basicly the bear, but has whats in the van man, like edmonton sonic)
TheZone ( Victoria station that plays alternative new music like Sonic Edmonton, has an "Ask ____" segment easy questions you could just google)
ThePeak ( another modern rock station, off the top of my head I can't pin down common elements but I stream music more than listen to radio now)

Most stations are owned by the same one or two corporations. They just tend to clone other stations that tend to be doing ok, and share a lot of the same filler content. It's pretty much cookie cutter.

I honestly thought today was Thursday...

and that there was another week until Victoria Day...

and I thought that margarine was butter...

and get back, get back, get back to where you were before (piano solo)
