This is one of those things where cartridge based systems show their advantage by allowing more powerful hardware to exist and interface as a plugin.

Although something similar is possible with Cloud Computing and your current gen console, in theory.

Assuming your internet speed and latency are up to the task and the console has enough power to run the thin client.
