Interesting, we carry BioLite products at work.

Seems a bit complicated for a firepit however.

We do the same thing with a battery-powered air mattress pump - just turn it on and point it at one of the holes in the firepit, so the oxygen gets underneath - boom, instant hot fire with no smoke.  And when I was young, we did this with a pot lid or dinner plate, just fan the fire while building up the arm muscles.  It'd be cool to be able to turn the fan down low, though.
