Yes I did a double take when I saw it.

Thankfully the trailer actually looks good.

Yeah I just watched the Star Trek Into Darkness trailer right now, imo it's got a vibe of Inception meets what-TerminatorSalvation-shoulda-been.

a new "International Trailer" just came out, apparently.

In this international trailer, Abrams doesn't show his hand, but does show off plenty of jaw-dropping action sequences, spectacular special effects, and welcomed Kirk and Spock banter. It's giving us far more than the teaser unveiled earlier this month, yet leaves us wanting more. Bravo, Abrams. Bravo.

a lot more plot revealed, so semi-spoiler warning for the link above ...

yepp

talk about wasted potential.

and yet, utterly non-shocking. considering*. http://screenrant.com/prometheus-2-damon-lindelof-writer/comment-page-1/#comments

Optimistic Anticipation Level: minimal!

*I mean, how can someone be immersed in a single writing project for a year plus, and have it still turn out so incoherent and convulated? (and not even in a good way!) ... perhaps Lindelof chooses to just "smoke weed all day" just like Wesley Snipes during Blade 3?

I think there is a licensing contract clause that ensures no Star Trek game shall be good.

...which is why in the video I linked they keep saying it's NOT a "licensed" Trek game... but it also kinda is. But not, also.

It either is or isn't *lens flare*

Darren Dirt

It's licensed because it uses the name and is set in the universe of the new Trek rebooted universe. But it's not licensed to suck like previous licensed titles set in the Trek universe. *lens flare*
